Mukai!
My heart bleeds and I cannot predict when my emotional healing process shall commence. The 21st century emerged with a punch and our parents and grandparents had high hopes for us and our future. The question we should now ask ourselves is, have their dreams and aspirations come to pass?
It's sad to note, and I am making it clear, that we are 22% into this century and majority of the human population (which is currently estimated to be 7.9 billion in February 2022) has been left behind by the fast development that is taking place, especially in the tech field. I had the opportunity to meet with the Director of the Technology Community, to discuss the point that he raised during the Shumbafoot Global Summit of 2019. This point, in my own perspective, shows the need for young people to pull up their socks and keep up with the ever evolving risks that come with social media because the future of tech literally waits for no lazy individual. We have to appreciate the fact that the latest online and virtual tech is generally affordable and cheap, and this serves as a great opportunity for young people and they need to take advantage of it (not just to view content, but to create meaningful content), even at an early age. Look at this, if online products — such as apps and online schooling — were expensive, many top-notch lifestyles would be eternal dreams, considering how fast our modern tech is transforming and developing.
If a man doesn't work in this physical world, then how does he expect to eat and survive? It is very clear that the current young generation is sleeping on its vast opportunities. The young generation is waiting on the old school generation to open up their minds and realize the new opportunities that came since the genesis of this century. I encourage you to design activities that can help our fellow brothers and sisters in our generation to wake up, locate their opportunities and work. Unfortunately, we cannot be young forever, we are the leaders, parents, guardians, stewards, custodians and the working class of tomorrow. So it calls for us all to pull up our socks and move at the pace at which technology is transforming.
You should have noticed that every parent or guardian wants their child to be better than them, either being a better version of themselves or being very successful in any other occupation or activity. However, if we continue at this current rate and if young people are not involved in creating a better tomorrow for themselves and their children, then the dreams and aspirations of the older generation, shall be in vain. Shumbafoot connects with the fact that we need to be the change we want to see, just as the common saying goes, "if you want something done, do it yourself" ~Charles-Guillaume Γtienne (attributed to Emperor NapolΓ©on Bonaparte).
Just as the Chairman says it, "THINK BIG & THINK SMART," because the world awaits your meaningful contributions to society!
Union greetings to you and to everyone else who reads this important message
